For you beautifull People of the Hub :)

The Law of "Dharma" or Purpose in Life - The seventh spiritual law of
success is the Law of Dharma. (Dharma is a Sanskrit word that means
"purpose in life.") This law says that we have taken manifestation in
physical form to fulfill a purpose. You have a unique talent and a
unique way of expressing it. There is something that you can do better
than anyone else in the whole world--and for every unique talent and
unique expression of that talent, there are also unique needs. When
these needs are matched with the creative expression of your talent,
that is the spark that creates affluence. Expressing your talents to
fulfill needs creates unlimited wealth and abundance. There are three
components to the Law of Dharma. The first says that each of us is
here to discover our true Self. The second component is to express our
unique talents; the expression of that talent takes you into timeless
awareness. The third component is service to humanity. When you
combine the ability to express your unique talent with service to
humanity, then you make full use of the Law of Dharma.

Furniture finds out in Tottenham

Marieka, sorry the timing didn't work out this time! You would've loved this place - and I'm thinking they'd definitely be a great partner! They are keen to get their director to come see us once the Hub Incubator is up and running!

95% Recycled light prototype

I'm currently prototyping some hanging light shades, made from old bicycle parts and recycled cardboard. I'm thinking that they'd be great above the communal table or in the meeting room.

Chris

Update: Marianne and I are planning on meeting up over the weekend for a second prototype using knitting techniques and thread / yarn / paper instead of zip ties!

HUB planting (from Tom Drake)

Yes! Lets get together somewhere green next week to talk about the plants & possibilities.
Hamish at Specialty Trees in Narre Warren East (a very fine tree farm - very informal and informative folk) has put me onto Sean (at Adalia Park Nurseries in Gisbourne), a specialist who has been acclimatising plants from up north for years - Sean was busy today but very welcoming and asked me to call him on Monday so we can 'do things properly'.

The posterous blog has led me to Kamal Meattle's research into 'growing fresh air'. One of his three key plants produces suckers which will allow easy propagation to achieve the required numbers of plants-per-people.
