I walk into the light filled space and feel as welcome as if I had walked into my own home. The smell of freshly brewed coffee wafts in from the kitchen so I head over for a cuppa. Ammon co-creates a flat white with me and we have a bit of a chat about some of the design discussions that are continuing to evolve around the space. I am working on a new project around community owned renewable energy and really need some help around building grass roots support using social media. I decide to schedule an informal event that afternoon in the lounge area and post a message on the events board to see if I can attract interest from some of the other hub members. Nynke and Brad both point out a couple of people that might be able to help and I let them know about the afternoon event.
I walk past the papier mache animal heads on the wall (they always make me laugh) and take a seat by the window. As I sip on my coffee and look out at the crowds streaming out of Southern Cross station below I wonder how many of them could be the Hubbers of the future... Simon Waller 0408 222 550
